Man accused of killing wife and three daughters arrested after fleeing to temple
A 45-year-old man suspected of murdering his wife and three daughters was captured outside a hotel in Reengus after fleeing Jaipur and seeking blessings at a temple.
Investigators allege that Rahul Jha, 45, murdered his wife Geeta and their daughters Nandani, Radhika and Gauri in their Kardhani home before disappearing. He initially headed to the Khatu Shyam Ji temple seeking divine blessings, then checked into a nearby hotel where he could not afford daily expenses. After unsuccessfully trying to sell his ring to hotel staff, he traveled to Reengus, Sikar district.
A special police unit positioned officers outside the hotel after receiving information about his presence; plain-clothes officers apprehended him as he exited, his face hidden by a handkerchief. He was identified on the spot, arrested, and returned to Jaipur, where he allegedly confessed, citing ongoing family discord, especially with his wife and eldest daughter. Police recovered blood-stained clothing and his mobile phone from the family residence.
