Man accused of secretly filming women joggers at Bengaluru's Agara Lake

A jogger at Agara Lake in Bengaluru reported that a man was covertly recording women, leading to a police complaint.

During a routine morning run at Agara Lake in Bengaluru, a female jogger observed a man filming other women without their consent. Other runners intervened, examined his phone and reportedly found videos of the joggers. The suspect was identified as Golden Kumar, a resident of Sarjapura Road, who apologized and even fell at the complainant's feet.

The matter was taken to the HSR Layout police station, where a senior officer noted the complaint sought a warning and deletion of the footage rather than a formal FIR. Police said they would question Kumar and decide on further steps, though the exact nature of the recordings remains unclear.

Why it matters

It highlights privacy concerns and the need for legal action against non-consensual filming in public spaces.
