Man allegedly drugged, raped and murdered girlfriend on his birthday in Uttar Pradesh
Police say a 23-year-old man booked a hotel in Firozabad on his birthday, gave his 22-year-old girlfriend a sexual stimulant, raped her and killed her when she resisted.
Investigators report that a 23-year-old man arranged a hotel room in Firozabad on his birthday to meet his 22-year-old girlfriend, a Dalit employee of a quick e-commerce delivery firm in Gurgaon. He allegedly gave her a sexual stimulant, raped her, and later attempted a second assault in the early hours of August 27. When she resisted, he is said to have inflicted severe head injuries and internal bleeding, leading to her death.
The woman's father lodged a complaint on August 27, prompting police to seize the drug tablets and her mobile device, and the accused reportedly admitted to consuming the drug and committing the rape. An FIR was filed under murder, rape and the SC/ST Act, and the suspect was arrested, produced before a court and jailed, while a search continues for a 24-year-old alleged accomplice.
