Man arrested after 47-year-old woman found strangled in Madrid’s Arganzuela district

Police detained a man after a 47-year-old woman was discovered dead with strangulation signs in Arganzuela, Madrid.

On Saturday morning, the National Police took a man into custody after a 47-year-old woman was found dead with obvious strangulation injuries in Madrid’s Arganzuela district. Emergency operators received a call at 11:10 a.m. from a relative reporting a serious incident and awaiting police arrival. First-responding officers and medical personnel located the woman on Calle Ferrocarril, attempted resuscitation, but the 112 service confirmed she had died. Units from the Citizen Assistance Group, the provincial scientific police, and the homicide division were dispatched to the scene and are now leading the investigation into the violent homicide.
