Man arrested after alleged axe assault on three relatives in Victoria
Police detained 48-year-old Peter O'Ryan after he allegedly attacked his brother, father and mother with an axe in Tyers, Victoria.
The suspect, Peter O'Ryan, was on the run since Saturday before being captured near the Tyers-Walhalla Road on Tuesday night. Authorities say he assaulted his brother Paul, his father Keith and his mother Janine before fleeing on foot. The three victims are receiving treatment at Alfred Hospital, with the father listed as critical but stable and the mother and brother in serious but stable condition. O'Ryan is expected to be questioned over the weekend.
