Officers were dispatched to a Ross store in Miami-Dade on Aug. 17 after a report of battery involving a female employee. Witnesses observed a man moving behind the worker, masturbating and spraying an unknown, cloudy liquid onto her while she was crouching. Lead Detective Diego Mendoza described the act as shocking, especially because it occurred in view of cameras and children.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office collected the substance for DNA analysis. The suspect, Sean Edward Uribe, was recognized from a police lineup and apprehended a week later at his probation officer’s office. He has a history of comparable offenses, prompting detectives to label the new charge a felony. Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Mindy Glazer set a $10,000 bond and assigned a public defender to represent him.
