Man attempts to strangle partner in Málaga; daughter calls emergency, attacker later hangs himself

Around 18:00 on Leoni Benabú street in the Pinares de San Antón district of Málaga, a 39-year-old man attempted to strangle his 35-year-old partner. Their under-age daughter called the Andalusian emergency number 112, alerting authorities to the assault. National Police units arrived promptly, finding the woman in cardiac arrest; they performed CPR and stabilized her before transporting her to a hospital, where she remains admitted.

Inside the residence, officers also found the man dead, having hanged himself after the attack.
