Man born in 1993 charged with murder and domestic abuse in Alver case
A 1993-born man has been indicted for murder after a woman found severely injured at her Alver home later died in hospital.
Following an order from the Attorney General, the Vest public prosecutors have charged a man born in 1993 with murder. The victim, a woman, was found badly injured in her Alver residence and later succumbed to her injuries at a hospital. Police reported that locals called emergency services after finding her unconscious, leading to a substantial deployment of patrol units, canine teams and a drone.
The suspect was taken into custody the next day, initially facing an attempted murder charge, and spent four weeks in detention, the first two under full isolation. Investigators also allege the man committed domestic violence against the victim’s daughter, who is married to him. Defense counsel Sarah Ler Christensen represents the accused, while Kjetil Ottesen assists the victim’s family, and prosecutor Sigurd Granli oversees the case.
