Man charged with murder after 65-year-old found dead in Woodridge unit
Police arrested a 32-year-old suspect and charged him with murder following the discovery of 65-year-old Tony Cue’s body in his Woodridge apartment.
A welfare check at a North Road residence in Woodridge, Logan, led police to discover the deceased body of 65-year-old Tony Cue on Tuesday morning. Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said the scene was treated as a crime scene because of a clear injury on the victim. The police identified a 32-year-old male suspect, who was arrested in Beenleigh at about 7:50 p.m. the previous day.
He has now been charged with murder. Neighbours recalled Cue living in the complex for over three decades and seeing him outside his unit the day before. The accused is due in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 7 for his first appearance.
