Man charged with murder after fatal assault during night-time noise dispute in Sydney
Police have charged a 30-year-old man with murder after a 41-year-old neighbour died following a violent confrontation over noise at a block in Ermington, Sydney.
Around 1 a.m. on Friday, a dispute over noise from a 41-year-old resident's unit led to a physical altercation on Lister Avenue. The younger man allegedly punched the older man repeatedly, causing him to fall down a staircase. After the fall, the assault continued, and despite CPR attempts, the victim died at the hospital. The accused is scheduled to appear in Burwood Local Court.
