Man Confesses to Killing Wife After Body Discovered in Home Freezer

David Barraclough, 45, pleaded guilty to murdering his 37-year-old wife, whose body was found frozen at their West Yorkshire house.

The Horbury resident admitted to the murder of his spouse, Carolann Barraclough, after police uncovered her remains in a freezer at their home in March. The case was set to begin at Leeds Crown Court, but Barraclough entered a guilty plea on the scheduled trial day. Judge Andrew Stubbs will schedule a separate hearing to determine sentencing.

The confession ends a local homicide investigation and will lead to sentencing for a domestic murder.
