Man detained after vandalism damages Belfast's iconic Big Fish sculpture
Police arrested a 44-year-old suspect early Sunday after the Big Fish artwork in Belfast’s Donegall Quay area was seriously damaged.
Around 12.30 am on Sunday, officers responded to reports of damage to the Big Fish sculpture in Belfast city centre. The left eye of the metal fish was found broken. A nearby 44-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He remains held while investigators continue their inquiries.
