Man dies after serious injuries in early-morning disturbance in Glasgow city centre

Emergency services responded to Royal Exchange Square in Glasgow around 3 am following reports of a disturbance involving several men. A 21-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries and subsequently died. Police also arrested a 19-year-old suspect, who was later released while investigations continue.
A 20-year-old individual has been charged in connection with the incident and is scheduled to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court. Additionally, another 21-year-old was assaulted but only suffered minor injuries. Detectives emphasized that no arrests have been made directly related to the death and urged anyone with information to contact them.
