Man discovered hanging from bridge near Dodger Stadium during baseball game

Police found an unidentified man hanging from a bridge close to Dodger Stadium while the Dodgers played the Cardinals, and no foul play was suspected.

At approximately 8:48 p.m. on Wednesday, Los Angeles police were dispatched to a bridge near Bernard Street and Stadium Way after a 911 caller reported seeing a dead body in plain view. The body belonged to an unidentified male who was found hanging from the structure just a short distance from Dodger Stadium, where the Los Angeles Dodgers were playing the St. Louis Cardinals. Police confirmed that no foul play was evident in the preliminary investigation.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office noted that the victim’s identity and legal next of kin have yet to be determined. The baseball game, which began at 7:10 p.m. and concluded around 10:10 p.m., ended with the Cardinals defeating the Dodgers 8-6 in extra innings. Authorities continued their investigation while the game proceeded.
