Man extorted after forced intimate video call, paid large sum to avoid exposure

A man was blackmailed into sending money after a stranger forced him to show his genitals during a video call and threatened to publish the recording.

Investigators report that a previously unknown offender reached out to a man via a social media platform in late August, later switching to a messaging application where the suspect used a foreign number from the Ivory Coast. The interaction escalated to a video call in which a woman undressed and instructed the man to expose himself, which he complied with. Following the call, the perpetrator claimed to have captured the footage and threatened to distribute it to the victim's contacts and on social media unless a payment was sent.

Under pressure, the victim sent money to three different bank accounts supplied by the extorter. Litoměřice police are handling the case, noting that similar schemes have become common, and advise victims to preserve communications and report to authorities promptly.
