Man extradited from Turkey arrested for 2020 Moss Side double murder
A 36-year-old man was taken into custody in England after being detained in Turkey on suspicion of the 2020 killings of Junior Ajose and Cheriff Tall in Manchester.
Greater Manchester Police announced that a 36-year-old male suspect was arrested in Turkey and returned to England on Saturday, where he was received at Stansted Airport by police officers. The arrest relates to the fatal shooting of Junior Ajose, 36, and Cheriff Tall, 21, who were killed in a car park off Caythorne Street during a lockdown gathering in Moss Side on 21 June 2020. Detectives have spent the past six years executing warrants, analysing evidence and examining seized devices to identify those responsible.
The force estimates that between 300 and 400 people were present that night. Police continue to appeal for information, maintaining a £50,000 reward for tips that lead to a conviction. The suspect remains in custody.
