Man Fatally Stabbed in Queens After Confronting Group with Metal Pole

On Wednesday afternoon in Queens, a 40-year-old man confronted a small group of men in a parking lot near 194th Street and Linden Blvd, holding what appeared to be a piece of wood and a metal pipe. Video shows him attempting to strike one individual before being pursued across the street. Two attackers, one brandishing a knife, stabbed him multiple times in the abdomen, leading to his collapse.

Emergency responders found him unconscious with numerous stab wounds and transported him to Long Island Jewish Hospital in Valley Stream, where he later died. Police have arrested one suspect and are still searching for a second individual described as wearing a blue polo, black shorts and white sneakers. The incident follows a separate stabbing earlier that day on West 47th Street in Midtown, where a man and a woman were injured but survived.
