A 53-year-old man from the Snowy Mountains region was granted conditional bail after being charged with using a carriage service to threaten senior Labor politician Tanya Plibersek.
Police say Shannon Bennett, 53, posted a threat against federal Labor MP Tanya Plibersek on a social-media platform. He has been charged with using a carriage service to make a threat to kill or cause serious harm. Following an Australian Federal Police investigation, a court released him on conditional bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 15.
