Man gets 15 years for fatal blow on teen in Romans-sur-Isère

Adel Gourini, 28, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for killing a 15-year-old who intervened in a fight in Romans-sur-Isère, Drôme, while his father and brother-in-law also received custodial terms.

In 2024 a 15-year-old died after stepping into a brawl in Romans-sur-Isère, Drôme. The 28-year-old perpetrator, Adel Gourini, was handed a 15-year criminal sentence on Friday, far below the 25-year term sought. His father, Boutaleb Gourini, was convicted of complicity and given two years of firm imprisonment, and the father’s brother-in-law, who helped them flee, received six months of firm detention.
