Man in his 20s dies after quad bike tow collides with goal post in NSW
A man in his 20s was killed when a quad bike he was being towed by struck a goal post at a recreation reserve near Osborne, NSW.
Around 2:30 pm on Sunday, police were called to a recreation reserve on Osborne Yerong Creek Road near Osborne, about 70 km west of Wagga Wagga, after a quad bike towing a man in his 20s collided with a goal post on the oval. Witnesses provided first aid, but the man died at the scene and has not yet been formally identified. The quad bike driver, also in his 20s, was detained and taken to Wagga Wagga police station for mandatory testing.
He faces charges of dangerous driving occasioning death, driving in a dangerous manner, and negligent driving occasioning death. The driver was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear before the Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday, September 23.
