Man in his 40s charged with child sexual abuse and illegal photography
A man in his 40s has been charged with raping a child under 14 and creating sexual images of three children, and a court extended his pre-trial detention.
Police allege the suspect committed rape of a child under 14 and produced sexualized photographs of three minors. He was arrested in August and has remained in custody. A district court approved an additional four-week detention, citing risk of evidence tampering because investigators lack full access to his cloud storage. Seized devices contain further sexual images of unidentified children. The suspect’s lawyer, Geir Krydsby Kristiansen, declined to comment.
