Man in his forties fatally shot near a home on Virgen del Mar street in Málaga

Around 14:00 on Monday, a man estimated to be about 40 years old was shot in the chest and died near a house on Virgen del Mar street in Málaga province. The 112 emergency line logged several reports of gunfire and a critically wounded individual, prompting the deployment of local police, the Guardia Civil and a medical helicopter from the 061 service. Despite these efforts, the victim could not be revived.

Investigators consider the murder a likely retaliation in an ongoing clan conflict. The deceased had previously survived a severe road accident two years prior, but authorities have not confirmed any connection between the two incidents. The case remains under investigation.
