Man killed after gunfire erupts during dispute in Chicago's West Pullman

A 33-year-old man was shot in the chest during a confrontation on South Halsted Avenue in West Pullman and later died at Roseland Community Hospital.

Police reported that a verbal argument turned violent around 4:34 p.m. when someone fired a gun, striking a 33-year-old male victim in the chest. The man was taken by private car to Roseland Community Hospital in critical condition, where he subsequently died. Area 2 detectives are handling the investigation, and no further details about a suspect have been released.
