Police arrested a suspect in Melaka after finding 27.5 kg of MDMA and a small amount of ketamine in his vehicle, then raided a Johor Bahru residence tied to the operation.

Lee Robert, chief of Jasin police, reported that a man was arrested in Melaka after officers found 27.5 kg of MDMA and 3.7 g of ketamine hidden in the vehicle he was driving. Information supplied by the suspect led to a coordinated operation with the narcotics division, resulting in a dawn raid at a residential unit in Crescent Bay Suites, Johor Bahru. Investigators recovered various narcotics and equipment likely used for packaging the substances.

The detainee, who tested positive for ketamine, is alleged to have been involved in gathering, packing and handling the drugs. Authorities are now working to identify the origin of the shipment and its intended distribution network, while also looking into other possible participants.
