Man Sentenced to 19 Years for Abuse of Partner’s Young Daughter in Marbella

A court in Malaga sentenced a man to 19 years in prison for sexually abusing his partner’s three-year-old daughter after the mother discovered incriminating files on his phone.

In a case heard by the Malaga Provincial Court, a man received a total of 19 years’ imprisonment for sexually abusing his partner’s three-year-old daughter. The mother discovered graphic images and videos on the defendant’s phone while he slept, copied the files to her own device, erased them, and left the home before reporting the crime. Judicial findings described the conduct as abhorrent and exploitative, noting that the footage clearly captured the perpetrator’s face and voice alongside the child.

The sentencing includes 12 years for child sexual abuse and seven years and one day for child-pornography production, followed by eight years of supervised probation and mandatory sexual re-education. A 20-year restraining order bars the man from approaching within 500 metres of the victim, and he must pay €20,000 in civil compensation and is prohibited for 25 years from any work involving minors.
