During a street takeover in Seattle's Belltown area, a man was shot three times and left bleeding on the sidewalk. According to his sister, Rebecca Garberding, and his mother, Shanda Barney, bystanders captured video of the scene but did not attempt to aid him. Despite severe blood loss, he walked two blocks and tried to enter a locked store before being rescued.
Emergency responders transported him to Harborview Medical Center, where he remained on life support for two days and was unable to speak. He has since undergone two surgeries and faces additional procedures before returning to his construction job. The family is pleading for witnesses to provide any details that could lead to accountability.
