Man Stabbed After Police Disperse Out-of-Control Airbnb Party in Melbourne Suburb

Around 9:30 pm on Friday, police intervened at a short-term rental on Belvedere Drive in Pakenham, dispersing an estimated 100-person party that had gotten out of hand. Less than an hour later, the same group was involved in a violent altercation at Pakenham Railway Station, during which a 26-year-old man attempting to break up the fight was stabbed in the arm. Emergency responders treated the wound on site and later transported the victim to hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

The crowd scattered as officers arrived, and a comprehensive search failed to locate any suspects, leaving the case unresolved. Property owner Anwar Sadat said he had rented the house to two adults who assured him no party would be held. Police are urging anyone with CCTV, dash-cam footage, or eyewitness information to contact Crime Stoppers.
