Man Stabbed Near St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Saks Fifth Avenue, Suspect Flees
A 21-year-old was attacked with a knife near St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Saks Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, and the assailant escaped in a black BMW.
Around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, a 21-year-old man was wounded after a confrontation at the intersection of West 50th Street and Fifth Avenue, just steps from St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Saks Fifth Avenue. The disagreement turned violent when an unknown individual thrust a knife into the victim’s arm and torso. First responders rushed the injured party to Bellevue Hospital, where he is listed as stable.
The attacker subsequently entered a black BMW and drove away, eluding police. No arrests have been made, and detectives continue to search for the suspect. Authorities have not released further details about the motive or identity of the assailant.
