Manchester United projects higher 2027 revenue after Champions League qualification

Manchester United announced a revenue target of £740-£760 million for the fiscal year ending June 30 2027, reflecting the financial boost from its participation in this season’s Champions League. The figure marks an increase from the £677.6 million reported for fiscal 2026. Despite the optimistic forecast, the club posted a seventh straight annual loss, with a net deficit of £43 million, widening from £33 million the previous year.

Minority shareholder Jim Ratcliffe, a British billionaire, has responded by trimming staff and raising ticket prices to reduce debt and restore profitability. CEO Omar Berrada emphasized a continued disciplined strategy to keep the club’s finances sustainable. The club’s long-term goal remains to recapture the success of the Alex Ferguson era.
