Manhunt launched for 22-year-old after mother found shot dead in Massachusetts home
Police in Reading, Massachusetts are searching for 22-year-old Ryan Hanafin, who is considered a person of interest in the fatal shooting of his mother, Andria Hanafin.
In the early hours of Thursday, Reading police responded to a call from Matthew Hanafin who discovered his wife, Andria Hanafin, dead from a gunshot wound in their kitchen. The Middlesex District Attorney's office, led by Marian Ryan, confirmed that the couple's 22-year-old son, Ryan Hanafin, is the primary person of interest and has been placed on a manhunt. Authorities say Ryan is approximately 5 ft 10 in, has shoulder-length blonde hair, a mustache and glasses, and is believed to be driving a black 2010 Dodge Charger with Massachusetts plates 2PSY15.
The family's 13-year-old child was present in the house, while the younger son was out with friends and reported no sighting of his mother. Police have warned residents that Ryan may be armed and dangerous and have asked anyone who sees him or his vehicle to call 911 immediately.
