Manila Water ramps up measures as PAGASA warns of strong El Niño through early 2027
Manila Water Philippine Ventures is stepping up its water-supply safeguards after PAGASA projected a very strong El Niño that could last until the first quarter of 2027.
The Philippine weather agency forecasts a prolonged, very strong El Niño that may bring dry spells to as many as 85 provinces from late October 2026 to March 2027. In response, Manila Water Philippine Ventures, the Non-East Zone arm of Manila Water Company, is intensifying its preparedness actions across its service areas nationwide. The company aims to maintain reliable water delivery despite the expected drought conditions.
