Marc Stad Secures Controlling Stake in Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx
Marc Stad has acquired the majority ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx, purchasing Marc Lore’s share.
Stad, who previously held a minority interest, completed a transaction that makes him the largest shareholder of both franchises, valued at $4.5 billion. Marc Lore will remain a limited partner, and former baseball star Alex Rodriguez continues as a co-owner. Elisa Stad, Marc’s wife, will take on the role of governor for the Timberwolves.
Why it matters
