Marianne Vos claims her 15th world cycling title, second gravel crown
Marianne Vos won the 2026 world gravel championship, securing her 15th world title across all cycling disciplines and her second in gravel.
In Louvain, Marianne Vos captured the 2026 world gravel championship, marking her 15th world title across all cycling categories and her second in the gravel discipline. After breaking away with Rosa Maria Klöser, Vos accelerated before the final climb, forcing Klöser to lose control on a subsequent descent and crash. This allowed Vos to finish solo, while Lorena Wiebes, the defending champion, was not on the podium.
Larissa Hartog earned the bronze medal, finishing ahead of Nele Laing. Belgian competitor Joyce Vanderbeken, who had placed sixth at the national championships in August, recorded a 15th-place finish with a time of 13:49.
Why it matters
Vos's win highlights her enduring dominance in cycling and adds to the sport's growing gravel discipline.
