Marine Le Pen reaffirms confidence in Jordan Bardella amid antisemitic message controversy

Marine Le Pen said she fully trusts Jordan Bardella while he confronts allegations of antisemitic posts from 2013.

While attending an event at the Sommet de l'élevage close to Clermont-Ferrand, Marine Le Pen declared her complete confidence in Jordan Bardella. The RN leader, aged 31, has been embroiled in controversy since Mediapart released messages from 2013 that the site claims are genuine and contain antisemitic content. Bardella responded by lodging a defamation complaint and indicated he will pursue an additional lawsuit for alleged forgery.

At a recent RN press briefing, he formally rejected the accusations, the evidence, and the sources cited by Mediapart, and accused the investigators of manipulating a witness and of past involvement with a group he described as terrorist. Le Pen, speaking alongside him, also condemned Mediapart for what she called another lamentable defamation targeting a former extremist cadre.
