Mariska Hargitay was recognized with two Creative Arts Emmy Awards for her documentary "My Mom Jayne: A Film By Mariska Hargitay," winning in the categories of directing for a documentary/nonfiction program and outstanding documentary or nonfiction special. These accolades raise her Emmy tally to three, following her 2006 award for best actress on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In backstage comments, she said the new honors feel unprecedented and deeply meaningful compared to her earlier win.

Hargitay also revealed she embraces a "just say yes" mindset, having recently accepted Broadway roles and the upcoming Emmys hosting gig. She hinted at a demanding rehearsal schedule and expressed excitement about collaborating with the writing team from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for her hosting material, noting that her "third act" is beginning.
