Mark Cuban urges AI-powered defenses, unveils mobile drug-manufacturing pods
Mark Cuban said AI threats can be met with AI defenses, likening the battle to a "cockroach theory," and announced his Cost Plus Drug Company’s new portable manufacturing pods.
At one outlet Total Health conference, billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban dismissed alarmist views of artificial intelligence, insisting that organizations can defend against AI-powered cyber threats by deploying comparable AI tools. He described the dynamic as a "cockroach theory," where swarms of malicious agents infiltrate systems unless defenders use brute-force AI to repel them. Cuban emphasized that defensive AI can match the scale of attacks, turning the tide in favor of security teams.
He also highlighted the rapid growth of his Cost Plus Drug Company, which operates on a transparent pricing model and recently joined the TrumpRx.gov platform for discounted weight-loss drugs. In 2025 the firm began producing sterile injectables in its own compounding facility and has now built trailer-sized, modular pods capable of manufacturing generic and specialty medicines independently or in linked clusters.
Why it matters
Cuban's AI defense concept and portable drug-manufacturing pods could reshape cybersecurity and affordable medicine production.
