Mark Levin urges GOP to brand Democrats as Democratic Socialists on Hannity

Conservative commentator Mark Levin told viewers on Hannity that Republicans should highlight the Democratic Socialists of America to differentiate themselves from the Democratic Party.

On Friday’s episode of one outlet’ Hannity, conservative talk-show host Mark Levin urged Republicans to run on a platform of freedom, Americanism and capitalism while contrasting themselves with the Democratic Socialists of America. He portrayed the DSA’s ideology as a history of failure, pointing to what he described as excessive taxation, regulation and government-controlled housing in blue states. Levin cited health-care systems in Britain, Canada and France as examples of the problems he associates with socialism, arguing that Medicare for All would erase current Medicare and union-negotiated benefits.

He accused Democratic figures, including Hakeem Jeffries, of seeking to dismantle the Constitution and adopt socialist policies, labeling the Democratic Party as “communist.”

Why it matters

Levin’s remarks aim to shape GOP messaging by framing Democrats as socialist, influencing voter perceptions ahead of upcoming elections.
