Married couple arrested for running illegal brothel at Cupertino massage spa
Santa Clara County officials arrested Lin Wang, Xian Wang and employee Rui Wang for allegedly operating a secret prostitution business at Humming Bird Day Spa in Cupertino.
Authorities in Santa Clara County charged Lin Wang, 46, Xian Wang, 48, and managing employee Rui Wang, 42, with operating an illicit brothel inside Humming Bird Day Spa on S. De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino. The couple allegedly opened the business in 2022, attracting around 30 paying men each day and earning about $700,000 annually. Prosecutors claim the operation involved long-term pimping, pandering, and laundering of illegal proceeds through mortgage payments on properties in San Jose and Chino Hills, as well as other investments.
The district attorney, Jeff Rosen, emphasized that such criminal exploitation has no place in the community. Two women who were on site during the bust were provided services by Community Solutions. The three accused face multiple felony counts, including pimping, pandering and tax fraud, and are scheduled for a court appearance on Thursday.
