Mars unveils Adoption Hub platform to ease pet adoption amid new global study
Mars introduced an online Adoption Hub offering expert guidance for prospective pet owners, following a study that identified health and behavior concerns as major adoption barriers.
Mars released a new online platform, Mars Adoption Hub, designed to give current and future pet owners practical recommendations and specialist information to overcome common adoption hurdles. This initiative follows a worldwide study that showed 28% of pet owners would like to adopt, but are deterred by unknown health records, behavior patterns and fit with their household. The hub draws on expertise from the Waltham Petcare Science Institute and offers guidance on nutrition, the 3-3-3 rule for settling a new pet, and gradual diet transitions.
Mars also highlighted its ongoing Global Adoption Weekend, now operating in over 30 nations, and detailed its Romanian efforts, including 19 tonnes of donated food and support for 46 shelters. The combined actions aim to boost responsible pet adoption and improve animal welfare globally.
