Maruti Suzuki hits export milestone for Jimny, FRONX and e-VITARA to Japan

Maruti Suzuki reported that its exports of the five-door Jimny, FRONX and the battery-electric e-VITARA to Japan have achieved a significant milestone. Japan continued to be the company’s second-largest export destination by volume for FY2026 and retained that position from April to August. The export timeline began with the FRONX in August 2024, followed by the Jimny in December 2024, and the e-VITARA was added in September 2025.

Each of these vehicles is manufactured solely in India, reinforcing the nation’s status as a key production hub for Suzuki. Company leadership described the milestone as a powerful validation of India’s manufacturing excellence in one of the world’s most exacting automotive markets. Overall, Maruti Suzuki shipped 3.95 lakh vehicles in 2025, a 21% year-on-year increase and its highest annual export volume.
