Masked Intruders Assault Family in Leicestershire Home, Two Victims Critical
A 15-year-old boy and his father are in critical condition after masked men attacked their house on Station Road in Leicestershire.
Police say masked men launched an apparently unprovoked attack on a family home on Station Road, Leicestershire, shortly before 12.30 am. The 15-year-old son and his father, a man in his 50s, are hospitalized in critical, life-threatening condition. The boy’s mother and the father’s wife, a woman in her 40s, sustained minor hand and shoulder injuries and have been discharged; three other children present were unharmed.
Armed officers responded, but the perpetrators left before they arrived. A forensic investigation vehicle has been stationed at the cordoned property, and a police officer is maintaining a guard. Investigators have launched a major incident portal and are appealing to residents of Thurnby, Station Road and Somerby Road for any dash-cam, CCTV or eyewitness information to identify the attackers.
