Masked man in Chucky costume terrorizes Philadelphia pedestrians, asks jogger if she’s ready to die

A young man wearing a Chucky-style mask assaulted six strangers in Philadelphia, repeatedly demanding a female jogger declare she was ready to die, and remains at large.

Philadelphia police reported that a young black male, estimated to be between 16 and 20 years old, entered a Dunkin’ Donuts early Wednesday morning wearing a distinctive Chucky doll mask and was turned away for erratic conduct. Within minutes he moved through the neighborhood, recording his actions while confronting passersby, including a man in a reflective vest. He later approached a female jogger, brandishing his cell phone and repeatedly asking, “Are you ready to die?” which startled her and led to a leg injury as she ran away.

A bystander named Jameka tried to warn the jogger and even struck the masked individual in the chest. The suspect is now being hunted and faces charges of terroristic threats, harassment, assault, reckless endangerment, intimidation and a weapons count despite no weapon appearing in surveillance footage. Local coffee shop employee Kate Egan expressed fear over the incident and hopes for a swift arrest.
