Matolcsy-linked Quartz Investment acquires stake in MBH Bank
Quartz Befektetési Alapkezelő, tied to Matolcsy Ádám, obtained a shareholding in MBH Bank, as disclosed on the Budapest Stock Exchange.
Quartz Befektetési Alapkezelő Zrt., a vehicle associated with Matolcsy Ádám, secured a shareholding in MBH Bank, a transaction reported on the Budapesti Értéktőzsde. Voting rights were obtained via the Aurum Magántőkealap, while the shares were sold by a fund overseen by Primefund Befektetési Alapkezelő, whose owner is Kertész József Tamás, known as a lawyer for Mészáros Lőrinc. Reports indicate that the Matolcsy circle previously owned a larger portion of MBH, which was purchased by the Mészáros camp about a year and a half ago. The present stake is held indirectly through Quartz on behalf of Matolcsy confidant Száraz István. Additionally, Quartz administers other funds that contain Matolcsy’s real-estate holdings.
