Mave secures $34 million to deploy AI agents for corporate security operations
Israeli cybersecurity startup Mave raised $34 million to expand its AI-driven agents that automate alert handling and response for security teams.
Mave, a cybersecurity firm based in Israel, closed a $34 million funding round to accelerate its AI-agent platform that assists security operations centers. Co-founders Raziel Oren and Guy Eshel, former mentors in the Israel Defense Forces’ unit 8200, said their agents pull data from a company’s current security stack, filter false positives, and carry out actions approved by human operators. The financing includes a $28 million Series A led by Red Dot Capital Partners with participation from Lumir Growth Partners, plus a prior $6 million seed investment.
Oren warned that AI-enabled attacks are growing exponentially and that hiring alone cannot address the gap, prompting Mave to double its 30-person team, especially in go-to-market and research roles. The startup highlights transparency by logging each workflow step for human review. Rival firms Dropzone and Prophet Security are also developing agent-based defenses, while recent high-profile breaches have heightened corporate concern over AI-driven threats.
Why it matters
The funding enables Mave to scale AI tools that could help organizations defend against faster, larger-scale cyber attacks.
