Mayoral hopefuls in Kaohsiung launch campaign videos and market tours
DPP candidate Lai Jui-lung debuted a 100-second campaign video, while KMT rival Ko Chih-en toured local markets in Gangshan.
In Kaohsiung, Democratic Progressive Party mayoral contender Lai Jui-lung unveiled a 100-second campaign video that features him in multiple roles, including a white-haired “Grandpa Lung-Lung,” and stresses the need to both hear citizens’ concerns and provide tangible answers. Lai, who serves in the Legislative Yuan, hopes the clip will demonstrate his commitment to practical problem-solving. Meanwhile, Kuomintang candidate Ko Chih-en made a stop at the Gangshan Fish Market before moving on to local vegetable markets, where she heard vendors request better canopies and pledged to work toward a safer working environment. Both candidates are intensifying their outreach ahead of Taiwan’s 9-in-1 local elections, which will take place on Nov. 28 across the island’s cities and counties.
