Mazda CX-6E electric SUV gets European tuning and Japanese design cues

Mazda’s CX-6E electric SUV originates from Nanchino, sharing its chassis with the Mazda 6e sedan, and incorporates a 78 kWh LFP battery paired with a 190 kW rear motor. After production, the model underwent a European-focused calibration at Mazda’s Oberursel facility in Germany, where suspension, steering and braking were tuned for local driving styles. The SUV offers a WLTP-quoted range of roughly 484 km and supports up to 200 kW rapid charging.

Its cabin is dominated by a 26-inch screen split between driver information and passenger entertainment, complemented by a head-up display, gesture commands and voice activation. Safety equipment includes Level-2 ADAS functions such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping, blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. Test drives in Germany showed the vehicle handling its size well, with predictable steering and comfortable ride quality, though regenerative braking could use further refinement.
