mBank to suspend online banking and payments for seven hours during clock change
mBank will shut down its internet and mobile banking platforms for seven hours on a Sunday, also disabling card payments online and its phone support.
On a Sunday, mBank will carry out a system upgrade that forces a seven-hour suspension of its digital banking services, starting at 2:00 and concluding at 9:00 winter time. The outage will block access to both internet and mobile banking, prevent sending or receiving payments, and stop online card payments. SMS notifications, the bank-product request portal and the mLinka customer-service hotline will also be offline.
The timing aligns with the night the country switches from summer to winter time, meaning the shutdown begins after the clock adjustment. The bank issued an apology, acknowledging the inconvenience for cash-less transactions and promising to reactivate all systems promptly.
Why it matters
Customers will lose access to payments and support for several hours, affecting daily financial activities.
