Mbappé becomes youngest player to reach 100 Champions League appearances

French striker Kylian Mbappé played his 100th Champions League match for Real Madrid against AS Roma, setting a new record as the youngest to reach the milestone.

On Wednesday, Kylian Mbappé appeared for Real Madrid in his 100th UEFA Champions League match, facing AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. At 27 years and 298 days old, he broke Lionel Messi's record for the youngest player to reach the milestone, a record Messi set at 28 years and 84 days in September 2015, also against Roma. Across his previous 99 appearances, Mbappé amassed 71 goals and 28 assists while representing AS Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, placing him fifth on the competition's all-time scoring list.

Despite his prolific output, Mbappé has yet to win the Champions League, having been runner-up in the 2020 final with Paris SG. The achievement underscores his growing legacy in European club football.
