McDonald's rolls out 2026 Monopoly game with digital play and $1 million prize
McDonald's has launched its 2026 Monopoly promotion, moving the game to its mobile app and offering a top prize of $1 million paid over 20 years.
McDonald’s introduced its 2026 Monopoly campaign, shifting the entire experience to the company’s mobile app while still using physical peel-off stickers on selected menu items. Eligible purchases include the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Egg McMuffin, large fries, and certain large hot and cold beverages. Customers scan the sticker in the app to receive instant food prizes, loyalty points ranging from 1,500 to 7,000 MyMcDonald’s Rewards points, or to collect property pieces that can be combined for major rewards such as a Carnival Cruise, a Kennedy Space Center visit, a 2027 Jeep Cherokee, or a Polaris vehicle.
The Chance Card game adds gift cards from Grubhub, Uber Eats, and Ulta Beauty, as well as cash awards up to $1 million, which is paid out as $50,000 per year for 20 years. Bonus Chance Card plays are granted for app orders when participants register before ordering, and the promotion runs through Nov. 1, with Chance Card gameplay extending to Nov. 8 and prize claims accepted until Nov. 22. Alyssa Buetikofer, senior vice president and chief marketing and customer experience officer of McDonald’s USA, highlighted the blend of nostalgia and new digital features.
Why it matters
The promotion aims to boost U.S. sales and re-engage customers amid slowing traffic at McDonald’s locations.
