Medical cost-sharing ceiling rises to 140 euros per year
The annual cap on patient-paid medical expenses will increase from 100 to 140 euros, split equally between consultations and other services.
A new decree raises the yearly limit that insured individuals must cover for medical care to 140 euros, up from the previous 100 euros. The ceiling will be divided into 70 euros for doctor visits and another 70 euros for medication, paramedical procedures and health transport. Starting in 2028, the amount will be adjusted annually based on inflation. The change is outlined in an official government publication.
